CM Edappadi Palaniswami's Deepavali gift to western Tamil Nadu

Palaniswami, unveiled a newly constructed expansive bridge over the river Cauvery linking Pallipalayam and Erode road on Sunday.

Namakkal: In a symbolic ‘Deepavali’ gift to the people of western Tamil Nadu, the Chief Minister Mr. Edappadi K Palaniswami, unveiled a newly constructed expansive bridge over the river Cauvery linking Pallipalayam and Erode road on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, CM said, “measures have been taken to widen the Namakkal to Tiruchy national highway into four-lane road.” He said Namakkal was one of the districts in the state, where all the main roads have been widened.

Dismissing critics and opposition parties' remarks that the present government was hardly functional, Palaniswami said, “against all the false propaganda by opposition parties, the AIADMK government is implementing one development scheme after another, all of which were initially announced by us.” His Cabinet colleagues including School Education minister, K. A. Sengottaiyan were present.

The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for various development works is his Assembly constituency of Edappadi in Salem district and also inaugurated various completed civil works.

He distributed various welfare benefits to people. Heeding to the request of the local residents, CM agreed to government constructing a community marriage hall with an outlay of Rs 3 crore in Edappadi.
