Kerala CPM seeks Centre's intervention to ensure safety of Indians in Israel

Thiruvananthapuram: The ruling Communist Party of India (Marxist) in Kerala has urged the central government to take all necessary actions to ensure the safety and security of Indians, including Malayalees, who are stranded in Israel due to the conflict between Hamas and Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip.

The party is concerned over the serious situation created by the clashes and believes that it has significantly affected the lives of common citizens, leading to the loss of innocent lives. The CPM state unit has alleged that the widespread occupation of Palestinian territories and the killing of Palestinian civilians have triggered the present situation.

The party calls for a democratic resolution of such problems and timely intervention to create the right atmosphere for negotiations and to restore peace in the affected region.

The CPM called for immediate action to implement the UN Security Council resolution for a two-state solution and protect the rights of Palestinians.
