Files missing from former Minister Talasani's offices, police investigate
Hyderabad: Police also booked a case following reports of documents being stolen from the office of former animal husbandry minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav at Masab Tank, allegedly by his officer on special duty (OSD) and his associates.
The police also launched a probe into reports of important documents being stolen from the TS Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT) office at Nampally. Former education Minister P. Sabitha Indra Reddy had her office on this campus.
Central zone DCP D. Srinivas told Deccan Chronicle that with regard to the theft at the office of Srinivas Yadav, the Nampally police had registered a case against the OSD, Kalyan, and a few others and started investigation.
Police found that Kalyan along with computer operators Mohan and Elijah and attenders Venkatesh and Prasanth broke the windows of the office on Friday night and took away some documents. They also damaged the CCTV cameras in the corridors and the digital recorder in the office.
The case was lodged following a complaint by office watchman Mandala Laxmaiah.
On the incident at the education department office, DCP Srinivas said that the police were verifying the reports of files being stolen. The SCERT office is in the Abids police area and a case is yet to be registered.
Employees had noticed unidentified persons taking away large quantities of documents from the education department office in autorickshaws and other vehicles, intercepted them and called in the police.
