Private Member Bills Address BC Reservations in Judiciary, Technology Collaboration, and Advertising Penalties

Vijayawada: YSRC member V. Vijayasai Reddy on Friday moved three private member bills in Rajya Sabha.
In the first bill, he sought reservations for BCs in judicial appointments within Supreme Court and high courts. For that, he sought amendments in articles 124 and 217 of the constitution.
The second bill seeks an amendment to the Central University Act to establish a special wing which will combine efforts of educational institutions and industries for technologies that benefit people.
In the third bill, the MP wanted penalties imposed on those who publish or broadcast advertisements as per section 89 of the Consumer Protection Bill.
