Social media users hail Galla Jayadev as hero of Andhra Pradesh
Guntur: Guntur MP Mr Galla Jayadev’s speech in the Lok Sabha on the lack of fulfilment of promises made to AP state during bifurcation has been trending on the social media for the past two days.
The majority of the public are lauding the speech in which Mr Jayadev addressed Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi as “Mr Prime Minister” and pointed out that there was not even a mention about the financial package to AP in this Budget and that this was gross injustice to Andhra Pradesh and amounted to deceiving its people.
Netizens have been quoting Mr Jayadev lliberally. Like “What message do you want to send to your allies Mr PM? Your allies are feeling neglected, betra-yed...humiliated.. We believed you. We trusted you. Trusting and Waiting.” And posting it on various social media platforms and also sharing it.
Social media has also been praising Mr Jayadev and calling him the hero of Andhra people who dared to question Mr Narendra Modi.
Facebook user Lakkim Hari stated that Mr Jayadev showed the difference between educated MP and uneducated MP. “The way of speech and presentation was excellent,” he said. He praised that he directly questioned finance minister Arun Jaitley and Mr Modi. “We need this kind of leader for AP to fight for our rights and he is a real hero,” Kartheek Bella said and added that this was the first speech in Indian politics that was also very smart.
He stated, “AP people are looking for more speeches about our problems in the Parliament and further action by Mr Jayadev. He rightly commented that AP people are not fools and we will show our power to the Union government.”
Mr Venkatesh Juluru said that Mr Jayadev has inspired the next generation politicians through his speech. “We need this kind of leadership in Parliament who can fight on behalf of AP government,” Gadiparthy Lakshman Rao commented and added, “I think this is the first time that an MP from AP raised his voice against the ill-treatment meted out by Mr Modi not only to the Parliament but also to the people of Andhra. We expect you to keep throwing light on facts in your speeches in Parliament.”
