Eight-year-old boy killed in Krishnagiri mysterious blast

A case has been registered and further investigations are on to know what actually exploded and caused the death of the boy.

Krishnagiri: In a mysterious blast, an 8-year-old boy died on Tuesday while playing near his house in his village in Krishnagiri district. Police said, K. Jahid, a class 2 student of the government primary school and native of Bennagur village, on Denkannikottai-Hosur road died in the mysterious blast.

Around 7 pm, a mysterious object exploded and fell on the boy while the victim was playing near his house. But, the incident came to light only on the next day after his parents gave a police complaint. The reason for the delay in giving the complaint is unknown.

His relatives alleged that the boy died because of the explosive that landed on him from the stone quarry near his house. The Krishnagiri SP R. Thirunavukarasu went to the place and conducted an enquiry. The body of Jahid was recovered by the police and sent to the Denkannikottai government hospital for post-mortem. A case has been registered and further investigations are on to know what actually exploded and caused the death of the boy.
