Dharma prevailed in RS polls: Pondicherry CM
Puducherry: BJP is trying to create communal violence in the country, alleged Puducherry Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy. Honouring freedom fighters of the Union Territory on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of ‘Quit India movement’ at the Congress party office here, he said, “The NDA government at the Centre did not introduce any new schemes and instead is changing the name of the schemes introduced by the then Congress-led UPA government.” He said.
“Dharma” prevailed in the Gujarat even though the ruling party tried to misuse the power at the Centre and Gujarat. BJP is trying to instigate communal violence in the country, There may be a need to prepare for another freedom struggle. the Chief Minister added.
Lashing out against Lt Governor Kiran Bedi, Narayanasamy said that the Lt Governor is threatening the ministers now “Earlier the Lt Governor used to threaten the government officials now she is threatening the ministers”, he said.
The Chief Minister was referring the “unsubstantiated”’ allegations against the government by Ms Bedi and her threat to expose a minister. Puducherry Pradesh Congress Committee president and PWD minister A. Namasivayam, legislators and party functionaries were among those who participated in the function.
