Wayanad: More relief camps to be opened soon

Wayanad: The district administration has opened 61 relief camps in the wake of landslips and flood reported from various parts of Wayanad. A total of 3,302 people have been shifted to these camps in the last one week, said officials. For the third consecutive day on Thursday, a holiday was declared for all the schools and professional colleges in the district.

More relief camps will be opened in the coming days as people from landslip-prone areas would be shifted to the camps. Immediate funds would be released soon for the smooth functioning of the camps, said Wayanad collector A.R. Ajaya Kumar.
