First 'Divya Dakshin' train commences from Secunderabad
Hyderabad: The ‘Divya Dakshin’ yatra, which is part of the Bharat Gaurav Trains programme, began its maiden journey from the Secunderabad Railway Station on Wednesday.
This is a new tourist circuit organised by the South Central Railways (SCR) and the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) during the Shravan month (Hindu calendar).
This Southern tourist circuit train provides passengers from the two Telugu states a chance to visit important religious sites in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, including a Jyotirlinga in Rameshwaram. The other important pilgrim sites are Tiruvannamalai, Madurai, Kanyakumari, Thiruvananthapuram, Tiruchirappalli and Thanjavur.
This is the tenth Bharat Gaurav Train from South Central Railways and it continues to witness huge response from rail users. This train was flagged off by a couple from Lucknow, Seema, Upadhyay, who are travelling in this journey. The whole trip will be covered over a period of eight nights and nine days period.
