Mercury to Shoot Up by 5 degree Celsius in AP
Visakhapatnam: With the southwest monsoon taking a break and scheduled to return around the third week of this month, temperatures have risen across the state.
According to the IMD, Amaravati, maximum temperatures are predicted to be 3 to 5 degrees Celsius above normal across isolated locations in north and south coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on Thursday. As a result, hot and humid weather is expected in isolated locations along the north and south coasts of Andhra Pradesh, as well as in Yanam.
On Thursday, the temperature rose by four degrees in various parts of Rayalaseema and coastal Andhra Pradesh. Thunderstorms with severe winds reaching 30-40 kmph are possible in isolated locations across the same area. The extreme weather would last until August 14, according to the study.
