Food safety officials inspect Rajahmundry hotels
He laid stress on usage of prepared food in four hours and urged the owners to to purchase from shops that have food safety licence.
Rajahmundry: Food safety authorities inspected several hotels and restaurants directed the owners to comply with norms to maintain quality of food items being served to the customers here on Monday.
Food inspector Y. Panduranga Rao asked the owners to purchase meat certified by the veterinary doctor and also instructed to them to use only fresh fish and shrimps for preparation of non-vegetarian items.
He laid stress on usage of prepared food in four hours and urged the owners to to purchase ingredients only from shops having food safety licence.
Mr Rao said that they would conduct a series of inspections to ensure maintenance of sanitation and usage of fresh and quality meat and vegetables for preparation of food items.
