Ayodhya verdict: Citizens say Supreme Court was impartial
Hyderabad: On Saturday, the day of the Ayodhya verdict, residents of the eastern parts of the city were glued to their TV sets and mobile phones, awaiting updates on the matter.
Following the verdict, residents said that the verdict of the court was impartial and was not out to appease any one particular religion or sect.
“The verdict was straightforward and to the point and it was not looking to appease any particular community. The decision seems to have been made after due-deliberation from all the parties concerned,” said I. Rama Rao, a resident of Padma Rao Nagar.
In similar vein, even G. Srinivasa Rao of Saket said: “The SC has been very clear in doling out justice, to the people of the country. The verdict has been clear, crisp and concise. We are happy that an age-old conflict has come to an end.”
Even former IFS officer Padmanabha Reddy concurs with the verdict and said that it was a very balanced.
“People of the country expected closure on the matter and have been crying themselves hoarse about the status of Ayodhya. With this judgment, all of those suspicions have been put to rest,” he said.
Unlike the previous Allahabad High Court judgment, this was a more harmonious solution that the Supreme Court had announced, said Ms Pratyusha Parkala.
“This puts an end to years of confusion, this verdict had no winners or losers rather justice was meted out to all parties,” she said.
