India-china meet likely to discuss Azhar issue
National Security Adviser Ajit Doval is expected to raise the issue with his Chinese counterpart Yang Jiechi, official sources said.
New Delhi: India is likely to raise the issue of China blocking its move to get Pakistan-based militant group Jaish-e-Mohammad’s (JeM) chief Masood Azhar designated as an international terrorist in the United Nations (UN), during the next round of Special Representatives (SR) talks scheduled on April 20 between both the nations.
During the course of the talks, National Security Adviser Ajit Doval is expected to raise the issue with his Chinese counterpart Yang Jiechi, official sources said. The two-day talks in Beijing, which would be the 19th round of such parleys, will mainly focus on boundary and strategic issues, sources added. Mr Doval will hold talks with Mr Jiechi.
