Wayanad rain fills Kabini dam
As many as 805 houses in Mysuru district have been damaged. While Mysore-Ooty road near Nanjangud continued to be flooded.
MYSURU: The quantum of rain in Mysuru district decreased but the downpour in Wayanad region resulted in a record inflow of 1,12,511 cuses into Kabini reservoir and release of 1, 20,000 cusecs to Tamil Nadu on Saturday.
Four more relief centres were started and 741 more people in HD Kote whose houses were affected by floods were shifted to them on Saturday.
As many as 805 houses in Mysuru district have been damaged. While Mysore-Ooty road near Nanjangud continued to be flooded, vehicles from Mysuru were diverted via Varuna, Kuppegala, Thaayooru to Nanjangud.
