Hyderabad police issues notice for 1166 abandoned and unclaimed vehicles

Hyderabad: The city police have proposed to auction 1,166 abandoned and unclaimed vehicles lying with them. Any person having any objection or ownership or hypothecation interest in any of these vehicles may submit an application before the city police commissioner C.V. Anand at the ICCC, Banjara Hills, a statement said.

Such persons should claim the vehicle within six months from the date of proclamation, failing which the vehicles will be auctioned. Details of vehicles are available with auction team located at Shiv Kumar Lal Police Stadium, Goshamahal, and the city police website www.hyderabadpolice.gov.in

It said the police was empowered to auction such vehicles under Section 7 of Hyderabad (Metropolitan Area) Police Act, 2004 read with Section 40 of the Hyderabad City Police Act.
