Political Leaders Raise Concerns Over Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls in TS

Hyderabad: Leaders of political parties aired their concerns on the summary revision of electoral rolls.

BJP state Election Commission affairs committee member Ponna Venkat Ramana said that the people of Rangareddy and Malkajgiri districts had been enrolled as voters in Hyderabad district.

Telangana Congress senior vice-president G. Niranjan questioned the reason for several amendments being made after electoral rolls were published.

CPI(M) city secretary complained that the purification of electoral rolls was not done efficiently.

Members of political parties also urged the authorities to distribute the polling slips early, instead of just before the polling day.
