PM to unveil Bhadrachalam road to Sattupalli railway line on Saturday
HYDERABAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate the Bhadrachalam Road to Sattupalli railway line to the nation on Saturday via video link from Ramagundam, during his visit to the state on Saturday. The project will bring unconnected areas in Telangana onto the railway map. The 54.10 km railway line has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 990 crore in less than four years.
The Prime Minister will also inaugurate several other key infrastructural projects on the occasion.
The new line will enable faster, safer and pollution free transportation of coal from Singareni coal fields to various destinations. It will also facilitate transportation of coal from the nearby open cast coal mines to power houses spread across the nation.
According to a South Central Railway (SCR) communication, Governor, Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, Union minister G. Kishan Reddy, MPs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the TS BJP president, and Venkatesh Netha Borlakunta and legislator Korakanti Chandar will participate in the programme at Ramagundam.
Simultaneously a regional function will be held at Bhadrachalam road railway station, in which transport minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar will participate.
