SFI, KSU rally in Calicut University
KOZHIKODE: SFI and KSU activists staged a protest on the Calicut University campus on Monday following the question paper leak of third-year BCom and BBA informatics exams scheduled for the day, late Sunday evening.
Vice-chancellor Dr K. Mohammed Basheer said a higher-level committee would investigate it. "It's a serious issue, and we cannot afford to happen this on our campus," he said.
In addition to the committee, syndicate members would be called to discuss the situation. He said the protest was unnecessary as the CU was also investigating.
The university will conduct the exams with a new set of questions soon. As soon as the issue came to the notice of the authorities, they alerted colleges to drop these papers.
KSU leaders said a gang was involved in leaking, which shows how slipshod were the university authorities. "This is not a new case at the CU," it said in a statement. CU has also registered a police case.
