Nellore: Nellore Rural legislator Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy has been released from the Nellore prison on Monday evening.
The police arrested him on Saturday for his high-handed behaviour with a CI at Vedayapalem police station on Thursday night.
Fifth Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Aashirvadam Paul granted the bail to the legislator and four of his followers, when a petition was filed before him on Monday. the other released were Biradavolu Sreekanth Reddy, Chekkasai Suneel, B. Meghanadh Singh and Bodumalla Vishnuvard-han Reddy.
The party leaders said that the legislator, who was on an indefinite fast till he was shifted to the government general hospital on Sunday evening after his arrest on Saturday, took part in a party programme where some TD functionaries from the 18th division joined the YSRC.
