Palakkad north police had seized documents on the conduct of the examination from various centres in Palakkad after receiving a complaint about the invigilator from a candidate the other day.
According to the complainant, the observer stared at the candidates in an inappropriate manner after forcing them to remove their innerwear claiming that their backside contained metal which is in violation of the CBSE rule.
Palakkad north sub-inspector R. Renjith told DC that they needed the co-operation of the CBSE for further action. The police had sent the reports to the CBSE regional office and headquarters.
The CBSE officials said that the report was pending with the NEET section. Action would be initiated in consultation with the top officials, they pointed out.
The issue came to light when makeup artist Aaziya Shafi, a relative of the student, launched a campaign against the incident through an Instagram post which went viral.
