Vijayawada: In a fitting tribute to the legendary actor and former chief minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), President Droupadi Murmu is set to unveil a commemorative coin with a face value of Rs 100. The coin, adorned with a portrait of NTR, will mark the centenary celebrations of the icon. The unveiling ceremony is scheduled to take place at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on August 28.
Daggubati . Purandeswari, Andhra Pradesh BJP president and daughter of late N.T. Rama Rao, said on Saturday that the Central government has chosen to honour the enduring legacy of N.T. Rama Rao by issuing a commemorative coin. The Union ministry of finance, in line with this decision, has already directed the Hyderabad mint to undertake the production of these special coins.
Purandeswari further revealed that the unveiling ceremony is planned for 10 am in New Delhi.
Attending this event will be a select group of 100 individuals, including NTR’s family members, who have been personally invited.
