Hyderabad: 11 arrested in Neredmet MLM scam
Hyderabad: As many as 11 persons allegedly running a multi-level marketing (MLM) business were arrested by the Neredmet police on Wednesday and remanded to the judicial custody.
According to the Neredmet police, a complaint was received from a vegetable vendor from Vinayak Nagar that a group of persons from his locality were luring the public to join their business by investing Rs 10,000 and are offering commissions.
“The accused were running a business styled as Safe Shop at Vinayak Nagar. They were offering commissions to persons who join their schemes if they ensure more people joining,” said the police.
After the investigation, the accused persons – G Narender, S Sampath, Md Yakub Pasha, K Rajkumar, A Ashok, B Kotesh, M Swamy, E Srinivas, R Shivakumar, R Shiva and S Aravind were arrested and five laptops, four bikes, 10 mobile phones, suits, and sarees seized from them. They were produced before a court for judicial remand, said the police.
