OOTY: Following the announcement of the Enforcement Directorate on Thursday about attaching Karti Chidambaram’s immovable assets in some places including Ooty, his luxury bungalow located in a rather secluded place here, has been attached.
The Enforcement Directorate action is related to the INX Media case. The attachments include property belonging to Karti-controlled company ‘Advantage Strategic Consulting Private Limited’ (ASCPL).
The luxury old British-type bungalow at Fern Hill road opposite to government arboretum, named ‘Colladia’, owned by Karti’s company ASCPL, has come under the list of attached property released by ED.
Sources said that Karti Chidambaram’s ASCPL recently purchased this bungalow for around Rs 3.75 crore from its previous owner and planted trees and ornamental plants along its vast border to hide its view from outside. The Enforcement Directorate also has attached another bungalow worth Rs 50 lakh owned by ASCPL, located in the outskirts of Kotagiri near here.
