Hyderabad: V. Srikanth Goud, brother of former minister V. Srinivas Goud, has filed a petition in the High Court seeking to quash a FIR registered against him by the Mahbubnagar Rural police for alleged assault. The FIR was registered upon a complaint lodged by Gavinolla Venkat Reddy, government pensioner, on December 2, alleging an attack by Srikanth Goud and his followers for supporting the Congress. Srikanth Goud contended that the prosecution had failed to establish the prima facie evidence against him. He also said the police had registered multiple cases for the same offence and said it was part of a political witch-hunt.
