2024 General Holidays List for Telangana

The 2024 holiday calendar accommodates celebrations and cultural observances of all faiths, imbibing a sense of togetherness and inclusivity

Hyderabad: The government released the list of general and optional holidays for 2024, consisting of 27 general and 25 optional holidays.

In its order, the general administration department (GAD) said that government offices would be closed on Sundays and second Saturdays, except February 10, a second Saturday, instead of a public holiday declared on January 1.

In addition to general holidays, government employees may avail a maximum of optional holidays. For this permission must be availed in advance.

Separate orders will be issued for general holidays for industrial establishments, public undertakings. public works departments and educational institutions.

The holiday for Id-ul-Fitr, Id-ul-Zuha, Muharram and Id-e-Milad will be declared as per the moon sighting.
