K T Rama Rao's 10-year old son visits Telangana CMO
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s grandson K. Himanshu sprang a surprise on Friday by visiting the CM’s Block (C-Block Samatha) in the Secretariat along with some of his friends.
Security personnel on duty were surprised to see the grandson of the CM coming in a Toyota Prado, a car which is part of the CM's convoy, along with his friends at a time the CM was in Delhi on official duties.
The CM uses six Prado cars in his convoy, and Himanshu had come in one of them. Apart from the driver and gunmen, Himanshu was accompanied by four of his friends, said to be his classmates.
The 10-year old spent around 45 minutes, went around the block and “examined” the CM’s chambers, conference hall etc. He spent about 10-15 minutes in the CM’s chambers.
He also went inside the offices of IAS officers in CMO and interacted with them.
Security personnel said he went inside the conference hall, where the CM, ministers and officials conduct review meetings, video conferences, press conferences, switched on the audio system and examined its functioning.
CMO staff said this was for the first time they had seen children from a CM’s family come to the CMO or Secretariat alone without being accompanied by elders.
At that time, his father K.T. Rama Rao was in his office at D-Block, busy with official meetings. Himanshu did not visit his father’s office.
The CM is very fond of his grandson and makes it a point to take him along in his convoy and helicopters during official or party programmes, private events and functions etc.
