Congress, BJP have failed, says Kadiam Srihari
WARANGAL: The Congress and BJP which are in power in several of the states in the country have failed to implement any kind of farmer-friendly schemes but they are criticising the TRS government which is working for the development of the farmer, said Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari on Saturday.
Mr Srihari distributed Rythu Bandhi cheques to farmers at Ramanujapur in Venakatapur mandal of Jayashankar Bhupalapalli district where he said that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s sole aim was to make farmers in Telangana kings.
He said that schemes like 24-hour power supply, farm loan waiver, supply of fertilizers and seeds and Rythu Bandhi were not being implemented anywhere in the country.
“Congress and BJP leaders are criticising the TRS over the schemes it implemented but they have done nothing for the farmers in the states they rule. Why don’t the BJP and Congress implement these schemes in the states they are ruling?” he asked.
Mr Srihari asked individuals in the crowd at random and enquired if the schemes introduced by the TS government were reaching them.
He also asked the residents of Ramanujapur if they have a high school in their village; when they responded in negative, he immediately declared that a high school was being sanctioned from the coming academic year.
He also declared that he would give Rs 60 lakh towards the construction of six additional classrooms in the school complex.
He directed District collector Amoy Kumar to ensure the high school classes begin from this academic year.
Minister A Chandulal, MP Seetharam Naik, Civil supplied corporation chairman P Sudharshan Reddy and others were present.
