But now, all roads lead to Bengaluru after the Congress grabbing a whopping 134 seats pushing the saffron party far behind.
The Karnataka Assembly polls was a closely watched contest as political observers believe that the people's verdict here will more or less seal the fate of the political party in other states. Now, with Congress taking the lead, it's time for celebrations.

Now, the million dollar question is who will the AICC chief choose—will it be Siddaramaiah, the veteran politician or DK Shivakumar, a staunch Congress supporter and trusted loyalist?
Siddhu had stated that this would be his last chief ministerial election. But the senior Congressman is not flawless. He has received a lot of flak for praising Tipu Sultan.
On the other hand, DK Shivakumar has proven his crisis-management skills several times and is the go-to leader for the Congress to troubleshoot. Also he has a huge following. However, one cannot turn blind to money laundering and tax evasion charges against him,
