Puducherry: Files are pending with the office of Chief Minister and chief secretary, not with the Lt Governor, said Puducherry Lt Governor Kiran Bedi on Thursday.
She was replying to the allegations raised by health minister Malladi Krishna Rao against her that the Lt Governor did not even find time to sign the files sent to her office.
“Which file, please? There is no file pending with LG office. On the contrary, they are pending too long with the Chief Minister and chief secretary”, said Bedi.
The Lt Governor shared the info about the files related to the promotion of officers to the press persons to clarify her stand. Bedi said that though she had cleared the files in a time-bound manner the officers were made to wait for one year for their promotion.
“It’s tragic and these officers kept thinking the file was pending with the Lt Governor. Instead, it was pending between the Chief Minister and the chief secretary”, she said.
I am compelled to make this public because there is a repeated allegation against LG office. It is a blatant misrepresentation. Hence the evidence. See the dates carefully. CM delayed it by a few months. The CS delayed it for over 9 months, said Ms Bedi in her Whatsapp message. And there is no regret either, she added.
