President Droupadi Murmu to visit her hometown on Nov 20
BHUBANESWAR: President Droupadi Murmu will visit her hometown Rairangpur on November 20. This will be her second visit to Rairangpur after she became the President.
As per reports, the President will arrive at Koleikunda Airport in West Bengal in a special chartered plane and then fly to Baripada in a special chopper at 2 pm.
The President will attend the All India Santhali Writers and Literature Festival to be organised on November 20.
Rairangpur MLA Naba Charan Majhi said the President will leave for her in-laws’ house at Pahadpur at 8 am on November 21 to inaugurate a skill development centre between 8.15 am and 9.15 am. Besides, she will lay the foundation for some projects of SLS School.
Thereafter, the President will leave for Badampahar Railway Station where she will flag off the Tata Nagar-Badampahar MEMU train, Shalimar-Badampahar Express, and Badampahar-Rourkela Express.
President Droupadi Murmu will again come to Odisha on November 27 to attend the Boita Bandan Utsav of the Paradip Port Authority at Paradip.
Sampada Mehta, the private secretary to the President of India, had earlier intimated about her visit to Paradip to Sushil Kumar Singh, joint secretary (IRSME) of the Union Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.
