Congress Leader Urges Rs 50 Lakh Relief for Nampally Fire Victims

Hyderabad: In the wake of a devastating fire that claimed seven lives in Nampally, Hyderabad, Congress party leader V. Hanumanth Rao has passionately called upon the government to take immediate action.

Urging a swift response, Rao has specifically appealed for the announcement of an ex-gratia payment totaling Rs 50 lakhs. Recognisng the urgency of the situation, he emphasizes the critical need for financial assistance to support the affected residents as they navigate the profound challenges arising from this tragic incident.

Hanumanth Rao's plea underscores the gravity of the situation and the vital role that government intervention can play in alleviating the suffering and facilitating recovery for those impacted by the unfortunate event.

In a tragic incident, a massive fire in Bazarghat, Hyderabad, claimed nine lives due to a chemical explosion. Originating in a ground-floor car garage, the blaze engulfed a four-storied building, trapping residents.

Despite efforts from five fire tenders and DCP Central K. Venkateshwarlu, the fire resulted in nine casualties and eight injuries. Preliminary reports point to a short circuit during car repairs. The building owner, Jaiswal, is at large, complicating the ongoing investigation.

Telangana Chief Minister KCR expressed deep sorrow, announcing an ex gratia of Rs 5 lakh. Municipal administration minister K.T. Rama Rao visited the site, extending sympathies and labeling the incident profoundly unfortunate.
