Telugu Desam encroached Dindi land, alleges YSRC
GUNTUR: Conflicts between the YSR Congress and the Telugu Desam have heated up politics in Guntur district. The YSRC leaders have alleged that the TD leaders with the help of the TD MLA, Mr A. Satya Prasad have encroached upon 1,650 acres of government land in Dindi of Nizampatnam mandal of Guntur district.
They have further alleged that the TD leaders have procured loans from banks by showing fish ponds in those lands. The YSRC has claimed that there were no ponds but the TD leaders created ponds on paper and got loans sanctioned from banks. The YSRC leaders have challenged the Telugu Desam and have demanded stern action to be taken by the district administration against such gross illegalities. Meanwhile, the Telugu Desam leaders have refuted the allegations outright and called them baseless and politically motivated.
Former minister and YSRC leader Mopidevi Venkataramana alleged that the TD leaders with the help of local MLA Mr Satya Prasad created fake revenue records and documents for 450 acres in survey numbers 874 and 875 and further for 1,200 acres in survey numbers 1,128 and 1,129 in Dindi. He alleged that land pattas were created in the name of the TD activists by changing the revenue records. He also alleged that the TD leaders got Rs 6 crore loans on these lands by showing them as fish and prawn ponds which was a big farce.
Mr Venkataramana further alleged that MLA Satya Prasad was trying to bring in pharmaceutical companies to Guntur which would pollute the environment in the seacoast and villages. Mr Venkataramana added that he, along with Guntur east MLA Md. Mustafa, the YSRC state secretary L. Appi Reddy, Guntur parliament constituency in-charge Ravi Venkataramana and other leaders lodged a complaint with Guntur district collector K. Sasidhar seeking stern action against the offenders to get back the land and to further punish the land grabbers. He challenged the TD and said that he was ready to prove the land grabbing of the TD with all records and proofs.
MLA Satya Prasad refuted the allegations claiming that no land grabbing was done and in turn alleged that Mr Venkataramana and his family members and his followers had encroached lands in Nizampatnam mandal.
