Hyderabad: A meeting of the Wakf Board was abruptly postponed for a week because of the difference of opinion among the Board members over leasing wakf properties on long-term basis to the Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institution Society (TMREIS) to establish residential schools.
A meeting of the Board was held under the chairmanship of Mohammed Saleem on Thursday. Members of the Board were divided on the issue of leasing the wakf properties to TMREIS.
