Hyderabad: There has been a surge in students of Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT-H) finding placements abroad with 38 international offers being received in Phase I of campus placements during 2019-20 academic year.
In all, IIT-H students secured 271 offers from 96 companies when Phase I of placements was carried out from December 1 to Thursday, December 12. This figure includes 37 Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) in the wake of internships by students with various companies. Phase II of the placements will be in January 2020.
Dr. Pradeep Yemula, faculty in-charge (placements), said, “There is a significant increase in international offers this year compared to last year. During the current 2019-20 year, we have received 38 international offers from 15 companies across the world.”
