Land pooling: YSR Congress suspects scam
Visakhapatnam: A few YSRC leaders approached district collector Pravin Kumar on Monday and gave him a representation, explaining how the proposed Vuda land pooling has allegedly become a big scam. They demanded an action against those realtors, who allegedly threatened the farmers.
“Some realtors approached the farmers, showing them their photos with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his son N. Lokesh and got the lands registered under their names for land pooling. While the beneficiary plot size was around 710 square yards in lieu of one acre of assigned land, it was now increased to 1,210 square yards,” said Peethala Murthy Yadav of YSRC. He demanded a judicial inquiry into the Vuda’s scheme as around 1,000 acres of valuable land is set to go into the hands of private realtors, who are the benamis of influential ruling party leaders. Yadav also demanded that instead of Vuda, district administration should take up the land pooling through a proper notification. They also demanded the district Collector to take action against the encroachers of the government lands in Bheemili, Anandapuram, China Gadili and other areas of the city.
