Hyderabad: Request to rise Fateha amount
Hyderabad: The Minorities Welfare Department allocates only Rs 104 per annum for the distribution of sweets on the occasion of the annual Fateha of Dargah Ajmer and even a scanty amount such as this was not released since last year.
The Minority Welfare is unwilling to increase the amount allotted to the annual Fateha related to the Dargah. This amount was fixed 48 years ago.
Religious rites have also been performed at the Macca Masjid on various occasions. Fateha is a supplication in which people recite certain surahs of the Quran and distribute sacramental sweets among the people who may be present then. The superintendent of the Macca Masjid addressed a letter last year, in which he requested the authorities of the welfare department to enhance the amount . The authorities denied his request.
Once again this year, the superintended sent a request informing authorities that in the present era, only 200 grams of sweet can be purchased with the sanctioned amount.
