Chennai: The city police arrested film actor Mansoor Ali Khan for protesting before a hall where Cauvery protesters were detained on Thursday night. He actor staged a protest with 17 others against the action of police preventing him from entering a marriage hall where Cauvery protesters, including NTK Seeman, director Vetri Maran and others, were detained, on Thursday night.
Mansoor Ali Khan tried to meet the protesters who were detained at a marriage hall in Pallavaram. He and others staged a protest and were arrested by the police. The protesters were remanded to judicial custody. The police had released Seeman and others later. The airport police arrested Muruganantham (30) and Sivakumar (32) members of TVK, for climbing on hoardings near airport.
