Hyderabad : BJP MLA Raja Singh yet again booked for hate speech'
Hyderabad: BJP MLA Raja Singh has been booked again for a 'hate speech'. In an interview to a television channel on May 7, the MLA had termed the Old City in Hyderabad as a “Mini Pakistan” and also claimed that he was preparing a private Army (Prathyeka Sainyam)' and training youths with lethal weapons to fight anti-nationals.
A case has been registered in Mirchowk police station accusing the MLA of promoting enmity among the public leading to the disturbance of peace, public order and communal harmony.
Meanwhile, a case was also booked against Mohammed Abdul Majid of DJS for conducting a mass drill with lethal weapons on Friday. Majid had conducted a mass drill with arms and lathis on Friday at Hazrat Ujale Shah Idgah ground and allegedly gave a provocative speech. His speech “polluted the minds of the youths, that could pave the way for disturbance to the peace and public order in the society,” it was stated.
He has been conducting similar classes since April 23 and was scheduled to hold, till May 25, classes for volunteers and youths, in the name of self defence at the Hazrat Ujale Shah Eidgah Ground. Saifabad police registered the case against him, saying he promoted enmity among individuals, disrupted public order and held out a threat to public safety and security.
