Kishan Reddy hands over 480 appointment letters to youth
Hyderabad: The Centre has so far handed over more than 4.30 lakh appointment letters in various departments, undertakings and its other entities under the PM Rozgar Yojana programme, and this is being done because Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government recognises that youth have a crucial role to play in making India a global power to reckon with in the next 25 years, Union minister G. Kishan Reddy said on Tuesday.
Addressing a gathering in the city where he handed over 480 appointment letters in 22 Central government departments, Kishan Reddy said as part of making the country’s youth a vital cog in national development, the government for the first time set up a ministry for skill development to create human resources that will make India strong on all fronts by 2047, the year in which the country will celebrate 100 years of its Independence.
Kishan Reddy said Tuesday’s event was the sixth such rozgar mela to meet the target of recruiting 10 lakh youth and since giving jobs to all of them at one go would not be possible, the Central government was recruiting around 70,000 persons each month. “This is the first time that such a huge recruitment drive is being conducted in the country since we gained independence,” Kishan Reddy said.
