We want separate seats in the House: Nagesh, Shankar

This has virtually sealed the fate of two independents as they have closed the door on any possibility of negotiations with the coalition partners.

Bengaluru: Even as the coalition partners scrambled to get the magic number required to win the trust vote, the two independents - who had already withdrawn support to the coalition government - gave one more jolt to the partners by reiterating that they would not support the government.

In two separate letters sent off to Speaker K.R. Ramesh Kumar, Ranebennur MLA, R. Shankar and Mulabagilu MLA, H. Nagesh requested that the speaker allocate separate sitting arrangements for them, as they had withdrawn support. They further said that they would like to sit with the opposition.

This has virtually sealed the fate of two independents as they have closed the door on any possibility of negotiations with the coalition partners.

They have already withdrawn support and have openly announced that they would back the BJP if Governor Vajubail Vala invited them to form the government.
