Hyderabad: Students from Osmania University (OU) have joined the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
The students call it anti-constitutional and against Article 14 of the Constitution (‘The state shall not deny to any person equality before the law or the equal protection of the laws within the territory of India’). Hundreds of students took out a rally on the campus, carrying slogans and placards castigating CAA and the National Register of Citizens (NRC). A copy of the Citizenship Amendment Act was also burnt in front of the Arts College.
