Congress leaders placed under house arrest
HYDERABAD: Former Minister Mohammed Ali Shabbir, PCC senior vice president, Mallu Ravi, Khairatabad DCC president, C Rohin Reddy and a few other Congress leaders were placed under house arrest on Wednesday. They had resisted the police raid at Sunil Kanugolu's office at Madhapur on Tuesday night.
Mallu Ravi said that he remained under house arrest since early hours. "I have been under house arrest since early morning, without any reason. Today CM KCR started the BRS party in Delhi and kept the Congress leaders in Telangana under house arrest without any valid reason. This is an example of police rule in Telangana state. KCR is showing how he is ruling in Telangana without undermining human rights," said Ravi.
Meanwhile PCC chief, A Revanth Reddy gave call for protests across the state and burning of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's effigies at mandal headquarters.
