N Chandrababu Naidu shedding crocodile tears, says Jagan Mohan Reddy
GUNTUR: YSR Congress president and Opposition leader Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy reached the 1500 km milestone of his Praja Sankalpa Yatra at Ponnur on Wednesday. He has entered Ponnur from Bapatla Assembly constituency, where he addressed a huge public meeting. Mr Jagan said CM N. Chandrababu Naidu was shedding crocodile tears in the Assembly, while speaking about denial of Special Category Status to AP by the TD ally BJP-led Union government.
He said that Mr Naidu earlier, welcomed and and praised special package announced by the BJP government but now, changed his opinion on SCS to get political mileage. He ridiculed that Mr Naidu, TD ministers and legislators were playing drama in the Assembly and said Mr Naidu is eligible to get an Oscar award for his acting. Mr Jagan alleged there is a lot of corruption in building the Capital city of Amaravati and claimed that despite passing of four years, Mr Naidu did not build any permanent building and is passing time with temporary structures.
He alleged lot of corruption in the construction of temporary Secretariat and Assembly buildings by giving contract of Rs 10,000 per square yard against market price Rs 3,000 per square yard. He alleged that Mr Naidu did no good to the pulic in the state for the last four years and totally failed to fulfill election promises. He lamented that Mr Naidu got him and his party leaders arrested him for demanding SCS but now Mr Naidu changed his opinion and is trying to cheat Andhra public. Mr Jagan explained about the Navaratna schemes of YSRC and sought public to cooperate with the YSRC to save the society from TD's corruption.
