Nizamabad: The move to initiate disciplinary action against MLC R. Bhupathi Reddy has sent shock waves among TRS cadre in Nizamabad district. To prevent infighting between TRS leaders in Nizamabad rural Assembly constituency, party district leaders proposed suspension of Bhupathi Reddy for his alleged anti-party activities.
TRS district in-charge Tula Uma, agriculture minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and others were present at the meeting. Suspension on Mr Bhupathi Reddy will send wrong signals to party cadre, political observers said. Mr Bhupathi Reddy has been serving TRS since its inception in 2001. Orthopaedic surgeon Bhupathi Reddy set aside his medical profession to actively participate in the party programme.
During inception of TRS, doctors like Bhupathi Reddy brought credibility to the Telangana movement. In view of this, party president and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao should think twice before taking any serious action. In view of high level political aspirations in Nizamabad rural Assembly constituency, diplomatic decision need to be taken, a senior TRS leader said on condition of anonymity.
