Khammam: The state government wants to start trial run for Mission Bhagiratha in December at any cost though there is 30 per cent of the work pending. The trial run could help detect errors in the mission. The trial run will be organised in Palair and Wyra segments from the three segments in Bhadradri-Kothagudem and Khammam districts. Laying of pipelines in Palair and Wyra was completed while work of overhead tanks was going on. About 519 overhead tanks have been sanctioned in Khammam district of which 450 were completed. Work is very slow in Kothagudem district with only 412 tanks built out of 752. All the rural water supply staff working in 23 drinking water schemes in the two districts have been shifted to Mission Bhagiratha.
