Hyderabad: Telangana has urged the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) to restrain Andhra Pradesh from continuing works related to new lift scheme linking Handri-Neeva Sujala Sravanthi (HNSS), Telugu Ganga Project (TGP) and Galeru Nagari Sujala Sravanthi (GNSS) by calling for tenders without proper appraisal and approval from the board or apex council as per AP Reorganization Act- 2014.

In a letter to the board chairman, Telangana irrigation and command area development (I&CAD) department, engineer-in-chief (general) C. He said AP has issued tender notices for "investigation and construction of lift schemes to lift water from GNSS to HNSS”.

It has taken up Kalibanda lift irrigation scheme on HNSS canal at break pressure tank near Kalibanda village in Chinnamandem mandal, Bestapalli lift irrigation scheme on HNSS canal near Bestapali village in Chinnamandem, lift irrigation scheme for lifting of water from Zarikona reservoir to feed Peddacheruvu, among others.
