Chandrababu Naidu's secretaries hunt for workspace in Assembly
Vijayawada: The secretaries in the Chief Minister's office are struggling for workstations in the Assembly. Though space has been allotted for the CM's peshi, it is very small and cannot accommodate many visitors due to which senior officials like Satish Chandra and Pradyumna had come out into blocks of the Secretariat in search of rooms to discharge their duties. The duo visited every room in the Assembly lobbies on Wednesday and asked the employees if there is any space available in their room.
Even the CRDA commissioner Ch. Sridhar and additional commissioner Mallikarjuna could not help the secretaries as they couldn’t find space even after doing many rounds around the Secretariat, as the CRDA officials are the facilitators. A CMO official said, there shall be emergency works to be carried out very often upon the directions of the Chief Minister, but with continuous interruption from the party leaders, there is no sufficient space and work is being hindered.
“Despite many requests, the Assembly authorities couldn’t provide work stations and so the CM peshi had to look for new space to work in the blocks.” Even the Deputy Chief Ministers are not happy with the Assembly authorities for allocating just a single room for each of them. The office staff of the Deputy Chief Ministers expressed unhappiness with the Assembly Secretary for providing space to his secretary but not to the Deputy Chief Ministers, and the Chief Minister’s secretaries.
Washrooms in the Assembly are also not working properly and in the ministers’ peshis, water is even getting clogged. The works of the Secretariat have been done in a hurry and there seems to be many problems occurring with regard to power connections, water flow and drainage connections.
