TIRUPATI: The management of Srikalahasthi temple showed over enthusiasm during Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan’s visit to the temple on Tuesday which led to irritation among the devotees as the temple do-ors were shut soon after he entered the temple.

Usually, the ‘Kanchu Gadapa’ which is opened after Suprabatam and Gopuja every day, is kept open until the last Ekantha Seva. In order to control the fans, the temple administration shut the doors and a placed a guard denying entry to others. This caused a lot of inconvenience to devotees who were forced to wait for about 15-20 minutes.

K. Rambabu, a devotee form Kurnool, slammed the temple administration and said, “Is there any protocol for such visitors? Why is the temple management showing such over enthusiasm by denying entry to others? It is shame that the temple administration has not thought about the common devotees. The endowments de-partment should act on the issue and take action agai-nst the officials who ever are responsible for this”.

The Srikalahasthi temple executive officer D. Brah-marambha who also a regional joint-commissioner, endowments, Tirupati, did not respond when contacted over phone. But the people alleged that the whole thing happened in the presence of the EO.
