Hyderabad: Following the threats on social media and a couple who went to Pranay’s residence asking that a statue not be installed, Miryalaguda police have deployed additional security at her residence. Bala Swamy, Pranay’s father said, “On Sunday a couple visited our house stating that Pranay’s soul was talking to them, it would be better if we don’t construct the statue. They told us that Pranay had revealed to them that he was murdered by his uncle, Maruthi Rao, because of revenge in his last birth. Finding something suspicious, Amrutha Varshini complained to the police. Police then took the couple into custody and is investigating them further.”
The Miryalaguda police identified three members who tried to cheat Pranay’s family as P. Naga Rao and P. Satya priya, husband and wife respectively, and M. Narasimha Raju.
Speaking to DC, Ch. Nagaraju Inspector, Miryalaguda said, “We have taken all three members into custody and are investigating further. We have also arrested culprits who abused Amrutha online.” media. One person was identified as Eshwar and he was an engineering student hailing from Karimnagar.
He sent messages of abuse to the personal account of amruthavarshini. Another person was identified as Kiran Reddy from Hyderabad who created fake accounts and tried to offer money to Amrutha on behalf of Maruthi Rao.”
