Hyderabad: The official vehicle of the Additional Commissioner of Traffic Anil Kumar has been challaned Rs 250 for wrong parking at SBH crossroads falling under Mahankali traffic police limits. The incident was reported on Thursday afternoon when the Traffic chief was on inspection. Reportedly the top officer was not in the vehicle when it was found violating the traffic norm.

The vehicle TS 09 PA 3330 is registered in the name of Director General of Police(DGP) Telangana and this was the first challan issued against the driver.
When DC photographer captured the violation, traffic cops accosted them asking to delete the pictures to avoid getting a memo from the department.

According to the traffic police Anil Kumar, Additional Commissioner of police (Traffic) came to the visit of Mahakali Traffic police station for inspection as it is election time on Thursday afternoon around 3 pm. He then went inside the Mahankali traffic police station. Mahakali Inspector J. Venu Gopal said, “The driver stopped the vehicle at the no-parking zone at SBH cross roads.”

A netizen named Kartheek commented, “Good to see even protocol vehicle of a senior IPS officer being challaned for traffic violation. Now the question is who is going to pay for it? The vehicle was registered on the government so is it public money which has to be paid? I strongly demand action against the IPS officer too.”

Jayaprakash Reddy, another netizen, said, “Great Mahankali traffic police. Deserve compliments. Appreciate the sincere duty of police personnel.”
